Adapted from a novel by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games is a sci-fi action film set in a dystopian future, where a young girl called Katniss takes her sister's place in a fight to the death between 24 participants in the televised games.The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland, and is due for release in UK cinemas on March 23rd 2012.
